Project Description

Jordaan Boutique, a luxury concept store in Amsterdam’s Jordaan district, integrated the HELIAN HL-A010 ultra-slim 5 mm linear profile as a high-end decorative accent across its display cases, shelving, and the central marble counter. The 5 mm source width and recessed-mount plastic clip allow the profile to disappear into millwork while leaving a clean, hair-thin line of light.

User Pain Points and Needs

• Need 1 — Ultra-slim 5 mm profile. The millwork shop demanded the thinnest possible recessed line for the display case interiors.
• Need 2 — Concealed mounting. Plastic mounting clip with no visible metal fasteners on the finished surface.
• Need 3 — Multiple diffuser chemistries. Opal PC and PMMA options for warm and cool display moods.
• Need 4 — Stainless-steel cover option. A black-clear PC cover was needed for the diamond display case to create a dramatic contrast.

Solution

HELIAN supplied the HL-A010 profile from its A-Series:

• Body: AL 6063 aluminium with anodised or painted silver surface.
• Lighting source width: 5 mm.
• Cover: PC / PMMA; Cover Model A010.
• Accessories: End Cap (Plastic), Clip (Plastic / Stainless steel option), Suspended Rope (Set), Connector.
• Longueur : 4 m / max.
• Application: High-end decorative lighting.

Implementation Results

• Hair-thin line. The 5 mm source width produced the requested hairline accent in display case interiors.
• Concealed fasteners. Plastic clips left no visible metal on the finished millwork.
• Multi-mood flexibility. Opal PC, PMMA and black-clear covers allowed the lighting designer to vary the accent mood per display zone.
• Diamond-case drama. The black-clear PC cover produced the dramatic contrast requested for the diamond display case.
• Quantified outcome. 180 m of HL-A010 installed across display cases, shelving and counter; product photography under the new accent light required 22% less post-production colour correction than under the previous spec.
