HL-A004 — Ceiling Corner Linear Profile Case Study
Название проекта
HL-A004 — Marunouchi Gallery Hall, Tokyo Ceiling-Corner Cove Lighting
Project City
Tokyo, Japan
Project Description
Marunouchi Gallery Hall, a 2-storey art space in Tokyo’s Marunouchi business district, installed ceiling-corner cove lighting along every gallery wall and the central circulation spine. The HELIAN HL-A004 ceiling-corner profile was selected for its strict PC-only diffuser family, which satisfied the gallery’s fire / smoke classification in a single material declaration.
User Pain Points and Needs
- Need 1 — Single-material fire-safety documentation. The gallery authority required all plastic diffusers to be the same chemistry, with a single fire-test report.
- Need 2 — Dual-direction corner illumination. Both the wall and the ceiling in the corner required independent LED channels.
- Need 3 — Visual continuity. Gallery walls up to 24 m required single-direction light lines with no visible joints.

Implementation Results
- Single-material fire approval. The PC-only diffuser family cleared the gallery authority’s fire review in a single material submission.
- Asymmetric corner wash. 13 mm / 7 mm channels delivered the gallery’s desired wall-emphasis lighting scheme.
- Long gallery runs. Wall runs up to 24 m were formed by clean 4 m stock joints with no visible mid-span joints.
- Quantified outcome. 410 m of HL-A004 installed across 2 floors; the fire-clearance review completed in one cycle with zero additional submissions.
